As with all Mechanical Technologies course presentations, there is particular emphasis
placed on the Safety aspects associated with the nature of this course material.
Training
 

The purpose of this course is to provide the successful participant with the knowledge and skills necessary
to make equipment repair decisions based on standard industry recommended repair procedures for
rotating equipment.

Tools
  The associated activities of this training include the disassembly and inspection procedures for the types of rotating equipment normally found in an Industrial Facility or Utility, Power Plant.  The participants will be exposed to the many parameters involved in repair decisions including "Benefit to Cost" analysis, (B to C).

Make rotating equipment repair decisions based on "as found" equipment condition assessments and site reliability concerns.

Describe the steps and purpose in rotating equipment inspections and assessments.

Accurately prepare and calculate "Benefit to Cost" analysis for the purpose of deciding to "repair" equipment or "repair by replacement."

Describe proper rotating equipment installation procedures as well as post repair, testing procedures.
